Today, Devin turned one year old! Holy Moly! He decided to give us some "gifts" by sleeping from 6:30 last night until 7 this morning- that's right folks! 12.5 hours! And then he took 2 naps during the day that were both over an hour long! Hallelujah!
We didn't do too much today in the way of celebrating because we have a party planned for this coming Saturday. We did wish him Happy Birthday whenever we could and gave him lots of hugs and kisses! We had a coupon for a free kids' ice cream from Cold Stone Creamery, so we did get ice cream. We decided to upgrade to the biggest size so Morian and I could share with him. We settled on the "Cookie Doughn't You Want It" which consisted of french vanilla ice cream, cookie dough, chocolate chips, fudge, and caramel. It was pretty intense and rich. Plus, I don't like fudge. Devin ate a few bites but then he was more interested in walking around on the table and then looking for sticks on the ground. Unfortunately we didn't make a very good flavor choice and ended up throwing it away.
So, Happy Birthday to my sweet little boy. It's kind of hard to believe it has been a whole year since he was born. But at the same time, it feels like we have had Devin forever! I can barely remember what it was like to not have him in our family. Morian and I are so grateful for him! He is the cutest, funnest, funniest, awesomest baby in the whole wide world!
