Pioneer Day

This year, July 24th, Pioneer Day, landed in the middle of the week. Because of Morian's work schedule, he had the day of and the day before off. We decided to go visit his grandparents up in Logan.
On the 23rd, we went and got ice cream and then dinner (yes, we had dessert first!) at Carl's Jr and let the kids play on the play place there.

7-11 Free Slurpees

July 11 (7/11) is free slurpee day at 7-11. This year we hit up 3 different 7-11's for 3 different drinks!

The Big 3-0

This year I turned 30 years old. Hard to believe, right? I can totally pass for someone at least 3-5 years younger, if not more! We had a little celebration with my family on the 4th, and then we didn't do anything on the 6th, my actual birthday. So I took charge and made myself some cupcakes!
Well, I recruited a couple of little helpers!

(This was when I was using the hand mixer to mix the cake batter. It was apparently too loud!)

Another Owie for Devin

On July 5, Maren and I took a weekend trip to Wyoming to attend a wedding. Morian had to work, so I left Devin and Mackenzie at my parents' house. Kayley and Glenn were still there, so the kids had someone to play with and my mom had someone to help her watch the kids.
That night, in the middle of the reception, I got a phone call from my mom saying Devin had cut his head and they were taking him to the hospital because it looked like he needed stitches. (De ja vu to almost 3 years ago!)
Devin had been chasing Glenn out on the deck and he hit his head on the (plastic) railing.

4th of July

In honor of the holiday this year, I decided to try something festive with Mackenzie's hair. Not too shabby!

Utah Olympic Park

Morian spent the day up in Park City "playing" at the Utah Olympic Park. We started off with the ropes courses, and the zip line to drop tower and then we took a break for lunch. After eating, we did the bigger zip lines and the alpine slide. We ended the day by doing the zip line to drop tower again. It was a fun day!
All geared up and ready to go!;

Cousins

Cousins, from left to right, youngest to oldest:
Freya (1), Mackenzie (2), Jasper (3), Glenn (3), and Devin (4)

Red Light, Green Light

Glenn came back over another day to play and I got them outside playing Red Light, Green Light. I was the light first, but then Glenn wanted a turn.

Cousin Hang Time

Playing with cousin Glenn is always fun!

Jumpin' on the Trampoline Next Door

As mentioned previously, the kids loved to jump on the trampoline next door. They usually only lasted about 5 minutes, but every day they asked to go jump!

No shirt, No shoes, No service...

So come in with no pants! Ha!

Lovin' on the Kitty Next Door

Our neighbor recently found a kitten in her garage and decided to keep him. When we would go over to jump on her trampoline, she would put the kitty near us so we could keep him company. Mackenzie just fell in love with him! She wanted to hold him and pet him all the time!
