Color Me Mine

So, last Saturday, September 22, Morian and I (along with 2 other friends) went to Color Me Mine. I've known people who have gone, but had never been myself. And I thought it would be fun! And it was! Morian painted a Jack-o-Lantern and I painted a fun little hippo. I had a hard time making the choice of what to paint. No surprise there! (I am the worst at making decisions concerning anything!) Luckily for me, there was a sample painted hippo that I pretty much copied. Technique and style, not colors. Good times!

Lonely, I'm so lonely!

Well, everybody. Here I sit, all alone on a Sunday afternoon. Why am I all alone at this time, you ask? Because my husband is still at church, doing "Bishopric" stuff, such as extending callings. It has now been about a month and a half since his new calling. I still feel as alone and retarded as ever! In church, I mean, since I know NO ONE!! And anyone who knows me knows that I'm not good at making the first move, but evidently, I am also not good at being the recipient of a" first move." You know, I was wanting to move like all summer so we could have a new ward b/c I wasn't feeling too much of the friendliness of our ward. Meaning, I didn't really have any friends. So, when Morian got called to serve in the singles' ward bishopric, I kinda thought, "Hey! New ward!" But now I know that it's better to be in a ward where at least a few people know your name and say Hi to ya than it is to be in a ward where no one knows you and no one talks to you. I know it'll eventually get better and I will somehow get to know some people, but that future seems so bleak and far away right now! Sorry if this is sort of a "downer." Sometimes, ya just need to vent!

A Jog Down Memory Lane

So, this morning, I got up at 6:00 AM to work-out. I know, I'm crazy! I've been trying to work out in the afternoons/evenings, but that's not really my slice of pie! SO, I decided to try the early morning thing again. Anyways! Not really the point of my story! The point is, I jogged up to the RB by way of 200 East. I lived on 200 East for about 2 full years, in different apartments along the street. And as I lived on 200 East, I worked as an early-morning custodian. Which means, I was walking up to campus at 4:45 every morning. Now, as I did it this morning, it was obviously not as early as that, but it was dark! It just made me think of those years I spent living there, working so early, my friends, good times I've had... It was a good reminiscing!

Meet My Little Friends!

So, I have seen a few blogs of friends of mine and they like to talk about their kids. I don't have any kids of my own to talk about, but I do nanny for 3 little girls who I love to talk about like they are my own! So let me introduce you to the little "angels." Morgan is 5. Lauren is 3. And Hayden is 2. Shhh! Don't tell, but Hayden is my favorite! But I love the other two as well! Lauren is so spunky and crazy! You never know what she is gonna do next. Morgan is in kindergarten and learning to write so she loves to constantly ask how to spell things. I just love how Hayden is growing up. When I first started working, she couldn't even walk. Now she runs all over the place. She talks like crazy! Well, she tries. Almost all of her words start with the letter 'D.' She is just so adorable! She is always so upset when I have to leave for the day. And she is always so excited to see each morning. She'll run to me and say, "du-dah!" (That's how she says my name!) Cuteness!
