Devin got have his first "friend" birthday party when he turned 6. We pretty much just invited all the neighborhood kids he had been playing with since we moved in the previous year, plus one from church/kindergarten and another from preschool, as well as his cousins. It was nice of everyone to come and be there for him, even the boys who had moved to a different neighborhood and the older girls.
Devin was very much into Legos and so he wanted a Lego party. We started off the party by coloring your own Lego man, being as creative as you wanted!
Then we divided into 2 teams and had a relay race with Lego pieces on spoons.
Next we played "Pin the Head on the Lego Man"
Then it was time for cake. I made the cakes in mini loaf pans and decorated them to look like Lego blocks and put them into the shape of a '6.' We even had Lego-shaped candles!

It was kind of a crazy afternoon with all these kids running around, but for my first birthday party, I don't think it went too badly!
